Into 2015
The band is working on two new singles which they plan on releasing in early 2015. Following that, a spring tour to Ontario is in the works. Stay tuned for further details!
Susapalooza
James Cohen and the Prairie Roots Rockers wrapped up 2013 by playing a packed benefit concert at the Pyramid Cabaret in downtown Winnipeg on November 10th. The evening, entitled “Susapalooza,” was held to raise funds for Susan Livingston a long- time fixture on the local music scene as she recovers from a recent illness. The band was honoured to be part of such a special night of good music, laughter and friends.
Freight Train
Earlier in the spring the Prairie Roots Rockers played at Canadian Music Week in Toronto for the second consecutive year and were named one of the “bands to watch” by New Canadian Music.
The band’s latest radio single “Freight Train” was released in the summer and managed to chart as high as #63 on the Mediabase Canadian Active Rock Chart making it the fourth successive song by the band to chart nationally.
Plans for 2014 include working on new material and planning for some regional touring over the coming months.
